NS SAVANNAH - GALLEY

Image Size:
Savannah's galley is much larger than a typical cargo/passenger ship of her era. It is designed to feed 60 crew and 90 passengers in addition to catering for in port events and V.I.P.s.

One of the new technologies on display was her microwave oven. The first commercial RadaRange was sold in 1954, It weighs around 750 lbs, requires water cooling and was very expensive. (Approx. $5,000 an equivalent of $35,000 in 2009).
